Coaching is a resource for anyone with either formal or informal leadership responsibility, who wants to change how they work. Often this is called Executive Coaching but that implies you need to be an Executive to benefit. Anyone in the working world with goals who wants to make better progress in their life can benefit from Coaching. Frequently, the motivation for working with a coach is to fix something that is going wrong. You may be showing physical stress symptoms, are increasingly frustrated with others, having difficulty setting or achieving work goals, or simply not enjoying work the way you once did. These emotions and road blocks may be keeping you awake at night. The reality is you are just ready to grow and may need help in the next phase of your work life.
What is Work Success (aka Executive) Coach? Work Success Coaching consists of a series of meetings between a client and a coach where the goal is supporting the coachee in exploring issues and achieving objectives. At its core, Coaching is a support process that uses the expertise and perspective of a trained coach to help someone balance priorities, shoulder leadership responsibilities, and make good work and life decisions.
Successful people, especially organizational leaders, develop support systems and habits to keep them focused and strong so they reach the top of their next mountain. A Work Success Coach may be the support you need to tackle current challenges. The coach is outside your organizational structure, which gives you a sounding board but provides an alternative perspective. The coaching relationship is absolutely confidential. You get the freedom to vent, explore, and progress. Coaching can be a few sessions or can extend to longer engagements as part of a comprehensive organizational change plan.
Leaders have many things on their radar. Work, home, health, business, money, and dreams. You may have some very pressing issues, but deciding which is the alligator-issue to tackle first isn't easy.
Elizabeth (Betsy) Eubanks has experience and is credential-led in Executive Coaching. She uses the Appreciative Coaching method to help people improve the process and outcome of their decision. Improvements are achieved by developing an understanding of the current situation, a map of strengths and potentials, and a future state plan. This is what you can expect from MRC Coaching:
Initial Assessment Discussion - Successful coaching requires a good match between you and the coach. We will discuss your situation and decide in our no-fee consultation if we are a good match for your needs.
Goals - Coaching is not just a vent session. We will collaborate in the first two sessions to help you develop goals.
Supported Work - For every hour in Coaching, you can expect to have specific, relevant work outside of sessions that help you reach your goals.
Time Specific Contract - Our coaching is not an open-ended service. A specific time-bounded contract is developed and reviewed at each goal point so that your time and money is invested wisely.
