The path to the creation of Maze Runners Consulting started at the University of California in Berkeley. From student employee during undergraduate work through several job levels of increasing breadth, Betsy rose to the position of Director of Parking and Transportation. The experience of running a 7 M department ignited her quest to study organizations to make them better places to work. Betsy began Maze Runners Consulting in 2002 as a way to work with a range of clients and industries. Betsy develops personalized solutions to client concerns by applying theoretical concepts like organizational lifecycle, innovation diffusion, and herminuetics of communication to organizational problems.
Betsy has expertise in collaborative learning. She earned her Master’s Degree in Management and Organizational Transformation through John F. Kennedy University in a cohort model program. She then attended a pioneering collaborative learning doctoral program called the Pacific Learning Community at the Professional School of Psychology. She received her Doctorate in Organizational Psychology, completing her dissertation work in crisis management. She is certified as an Executive Coach from the Center of Executive Coaching and is also a Professional Project Manager (PMI).
Besides the passion of helping people at work, Betsy is an active Scouter, currently serving as District Chair and Venture Crew Advisor for Mountain Valley District. All this is fueled by a love of good books and coffee.
