As soon as you think you have all the answers, you stop asking questions. Team work, sound group decision making, and conflict resolution start with a spirit of enquiry and a willingness to forge the best next step even when you don’t know or understand everyone's perceptions. After three years of study and a fleet of experts working the puzzle, I find it comforting that no one can answer why some people see the dress as gold and white and others as black and blue. If you are sure the way you see things is the way things are or trying to bridge perception gaps in your organization, you may enjoy reading Christian Jarrett’s article “Three years of research into #thedress, digested – a lesson in humility for perceptual science”.
